Resolve To Work Less But Do More This Season

The hectic pace of the holiday season has begun and those who cannot keep up will be left behind. Most who manage to get on the holiday train will be tired, frustrated, and stressed by the time New Year’s Day arrives. Things do not need to be this way. We can actually work less but do more during the holidays and throughout the new year.

Successful people are typically productive people. They manage to create six figure income with their own businesses while raising families and enjoying personal and work life balance. What is their secret? They make the most of every moment. Every second is harnessed in the most effective way possible. This does not mean working their fingers to the bone, it means working smartly and with the help of others. Positive results come to those who develop team synergy, both at home and at work.

Productivity requires a diligent and determined approach. Highly productive people break big goals into the smallest components. By completing a series of specific tasks, they make quick progress toward objectives. Follow their lead and break personal and career goals into small chunks and get to work crossing these off the to-do list. Avoid distractions that can steer you off the desired path. Focus, focus, focus!

Multi-tasking may seem like an excellent way to accomplish more each day. However, quick switches between tasks are not effective. Studies show that people who change tasks more than ten times within a day lose an average of ten IQ points. Being “dumber” will certainly make it more difficult to complete a task. Multitasking men have an even more difficult time than women will because their IQ declines by an average of 15 points, while women experience an average decline of only five points.

Scheduling email time seems counterintuitive but it is recommended to improve productivity. Designate two or three periods during the day as “email time” and stay out of the inbox during other times. If more than two replies are needed to conclude an email conversation, use the phone. Email is not intended for lengthy discussions and the telephone allows you to achieve more in less time. Phone time has its place, just like everything else, so turn off the phone when working on daily tasks.

Most people begin their days by checking email, which can be a huge mistake. Within minutes, someone else has determined the direction of the day. Prioritizing daily tasks before beginning the workday and sticking to this agenda without fail keeps the day productive. To be most effective at whatever we do, all we need are healthy meals, fluids, and a to-do list.

More glucose is consumed by a working brain than any other activity in the body. Glucose supply is typically expended after 60 to 90 minutes, which means working in longer intervals is not productive. Take regular breaks by having a snack, going for a short walk, or just reading a few pages of a magazine and do not work through lunch.

Jeff Usner Provides New Tips For Working From Home

Internet marketing genius Jeff Usner recently released a video to help people create more income during these difficult economic times. In it, the former Secret Millionaire star focuses on how to work from home. Usner shows people how to get started and use Internet marketing to improve their financial results. His advice is timely because many people need extra money during the holiday season. By showing them how to make it without leaving home, Usner helps others earn cash through the holidays and into the future.

By mastering the art of online marketing, Usner has made millions with his Internet businesses. Many other people struggle with Internet marketing and he attributes this to their approach. Usner says that the steps to effective online marketing are simple and basic. Unfortunately, too many people turn to complicated systems that contain high-level techniques. All people really need to learn are the fundamentals because if they do these well, they will be successful.

In his book, Internet Millionaire: Your Blueprint to Success, Usner discusses Millionaire Marketing Fundamental Number 2. This guideline says that finding the location of a target audience and getting in front of that group is the key to online traffic. The Internet is an unlimited space and offers many options for a target audience. A good online entrepreneur ensures that his or her business is the first one that target audience members encounter. Exposure opens the door to earning income.

Usner advises online entrepreneurs to list important questions regarding their target audience. These questions should be answered through the context of the business. Learning where audience members are and meeting them in those locations form the foundation of an online marketing campaign. For example, is the audience searching for the company on Google or Yahoo? Do audience members have accounts on Twitter, Pinterest, or Facebook? Must the online business owner reach them on a local level?

Finding out where the audience is and getting in front of this group are fundamental steps in any marketing campaign. Usner does this through reverse engineering but notes that there are other ways to accomplish the task. By asking themselves where their audience is, online entrepreneurs identify other sources of traffic that the competition is not using. By tapping into these, a business differentiates itself, attracting consumer attention.

How do online business owners find their target markets? Research is a very effective method and Usner provides other instructional videos about how to do it effectively. Through his new company ProfitHub, the Internet millionaire and his team of experts offer members proprietary advice regarding researching. Knowing the target audience and effectively reaching those within it should lead to big financial rewards.

If you are embarking on an online business venture or experiencing lackluster results with an existing business, view the latest educational video from this Internet marketing guru. The information will inspire a much-needed change in focus. The sooner you identify a target market for the business and find out where its members are located, the sooner an effective online marketing campaign can begin.

Do You Have Financial Faith

Many people have faith in their finances but far fewer have financial faith. These terms may sound the same but, as Dani Johnson Secret Millionaire explains, they are actually very different. Faith is something that is never truly “fulfilled.” People have varying levels of faith and even those with the most can get more of it. We tend to categorize faith without realizing that we do it. It is time we took notice of our financial faith and took steps to increase it.

Having faith that God will heal a disease is common but having faith that he will present financial opportunities is not. Even people who believe that God doles out financial blessings typically think that they will not be recipients. Such faith for others is categorized faith. Believing that God will provide something to someone else but not you is a lie. On the other hand, you do not need to walk with God to have financial faith, says Dani.

However, if you walk with God and follow his financial laws, your life can be transformed. A planet filled with people like this can change the world. Believers should realize that by increasing their financial faith, they can create enormous change on a huge scale. Dani says that, unfortunately, our culture tends to be confused.

The world is filled with people who have strong faith but do not walk with God. Dani tells us to think of faith like a seed. When it is used, it grows and reproduces. When it is not, it remains dormant. Financial doubt is similar. Its growth is determined by whether it is fed or neglected. If people neglect their doubt, it will die. At the same time, they should feed their faith because the Bible itself recommends dwelling on things that are right and honorable.

Many people place hope in credit and trust in a mentor, teacher, leader, or their own ability to create income. However, none of these things is truly worthy of hope and trust. By freeing themselves of the idolatry of credit cards and the mentality of poverty, people increase their financial faith. Dani reminds us that God, not the credit industry, is the Lord over our finances.

Take out the scissors and credit cards and cut away, my friends. Now is the time to hold yourself accountable for finances. Cut off ways to get into debt and God will provide a way to live without it. Dani has seen it in her own life and now helps others experience the same miracle. God wants us to ask for what we need and to activate our faith by taking action on what is provided.

We must ask in order to receive. Statements like “I don’t have money” and “I can’t afford it” should be replaced with “I need help getting out of debt” and “Please show me how to live debt-free.” Rather than killing our financial faith through our comments, we should feed it through our actions. God believes in us and that should be enough.

Dani Johnson Puts The Presidential Election In Perspective

Millions of us eagerly awaited the outcome of the U.S. Presidential election. Though it was a tight race, President Barack Obama was reelected, and whether you are thrilled or heartbroken, self-made millionaire Dani Johnson has a message for you (and it is a good one). In an article on her website, Dani wrote that “what happens in the White House ultimately does not determine what happens in your house.”

This thought-provoking statement can pertain to many things. Dani revealed that in the wake of the election, she witnessed the maturity of Americans first-hand on her Facebook page and radio show. She watched and listened to people with very diverse perspectives respect and embrace each other. People felt comfortable enough to speak freely, yet were mature enough to speak wisely and with honor. Those who listened did so attentively and did not attack. This is commendable because it reflects the core of American values.

Dani revealed that prior to previous elections, she was filled with anxiety and fearful of the outcome. She felt that whoever was elected to Presidential office would determine her life path. Prior to this election, Dani was no longer worried about the outcome because she claims to have an intensified vision. Anyone who has seen her in action would wonder how that is possible because she is already a powerhouse.

Dani was right when she stated that not much changed from November 6 to 7 and not much will change unless we make it change. THAT, friends, is the key. Life will not get any better next week, next month, or next year unless we take steps to make it better. Whether this involves changing our perspective, advancing our skills, or developing our careers, we must decide whether to make it happen. Our actions, not those of the President, directly determine the stability of our future.

Those of us who employ maturity when speaking should be just as mature when dealing with personal finances. We should find ways to get ourselves out of debt, not rely on an already overburdened public assistance program to do it for us. If we are unhappy with our careers, we should be mature enough to realize this and make a change rather than just complaining.

Instead of relying on the government to change our lifestyle, we should be the examples by living the way we expect Americans to live. We can mirror the government that we want to see and since there is power in numbers, we can make change happen. This is a time of excitement and hope, no matter where your political allegiance falls.

Our world offers more opportunities than past generations could ever imagine. These arose from reactions to trying and difficult times. People who are pressed to the limit eventually step up and make changes, creating a better future for themselves and others. Now is the time for your personal transformation, so go with it, and exhibit the maturity and honor that makes you a true American.

Is There A World Changer In Your Midst…Or In The Mirror

People born in the 1980s and 1990s are classified as Generation Y. While many older generations view this group as the up-and-comers, they may want to think again. According to The Washington Post, Generation Y has been pampered and provided excessive praise. Sounds like a group of spoiled brats! In addition, this generation has had a wide variety of options and given an unprecedented amount of control and independence. Spoiled brats gone wild!

At this point, many Generation Y readers have become angry and stopped reading this post. That is what they do after receiving a message they do not like. They become offended and start complaining that life is unfair. However, it is about time that someone told them how things are. Oh, and do not think you are off the hook if you are part of another generation. After all, you raised, work with, or regularly encounter someone in this generation.

Members of Generation Y are used to being rewarded just for showing up. If the mood did not strike them to attend sports or music practice as kids, they stayed home. Despite closets filled with fashionable clothing and kitchens filled with food, they told their parents there was nothing to wear or eat. Even Generation Yers from low-income households received new toys, electronics, and clothing as children, though the brands might have been less expensive.

What does all this mean? Generation Y wants to be rewarded for their mere presence in this world. Who cares about how much value they bring or effort they expend. If they do not like how things are going, they simply quit (and complain a lot). This is not acceptable behavior for a child, let alone an adult in the real world. The scary part is that by 2025, 75 percent of the U.S. workforce will be comprised of Generation Yers. Prepare for the tantrums, folks.

Unfortunately, the situation gets worse. Time magazine reports that 40 percent of Generation Y workers believe that a promotion should come their way every two years, with only nine percent believing that it should be performance-based. This generation also feels that they should have custom-made jobs and that their employers are lucky to have them.

Best of all, half of them would prefer to be unemployed than remain in a job they hate, reports The Washington Post. Therefore, it should be no shock that 53 percent of recent U.S. college graduates are either underemployed or unemployed. However, delving deeper into this issue reveals a major redeeming quality of Generation Yers…they want to make a difference.

Generation Y feels a personal responsibility to make a positive impact on our world. The majority want to work for a company that takes societal contribution seriously, according to USA TODAY. Some are taking control by starting a work at home business. Those who have not found their career bliss are focusing on other areas of life like family, church, and school. Generation Y is filled with world changers…are you one of them?

Has Hurricane Sandy Caused You To Reevaluate Your Career

From the Caribbean to southern New England, homes and businesses are dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane-Superstorm Sandy. The financial impact is projected at approximately $50 to $60 billion, with $30 billion of that attributed to lost business. Though this may not put a dent in the U.S. economy, individual businesses may go under due to their share of the costs. Events like this cause many people to reevaluate their careers.

People who work for someone else are literally putting their financial future in the hands of another. If the business is impacted by an event like Sandy, the owner may find it infeasible to continue operations. Reasons range from the cost to reopen to the fear of experiencing another catastrophic event. Wouldn’t you prefer to be the one making this decision than having someone else make it and leave you without any income? Many workers are coming to this conclusion and are making big changes as a result.

Employees who have been planning to retire may take Sandy as a signal that now is the time. Others who are tired of not being in control are taking over the reins by starting their own businesses. Some are reviewing the many work from home opportunities publicized online to see which ones seem interesting.  Even in this recovering economy, there are home-based careers suitable for a variety of education, experience, and skill sets. Spend time reviewing these and you might find your next career.

With the new year coming, people are drafting their resolution lists. While dieting and exercise usually find their ways onto these, career is another popular topic. Consider making 2013 the year that you finally go out on your own and establish a business. Being in charge definitely has its benefits including the ability to grow the business as much as desired. Entrepreneurs also have the creative power to take their companies in nearly any direction.

If a natural disaster occurs on the future, it will be your decision as the business owner whether to continue or call it quits. Businesses that have been established correctly are able to handle these situations without serious financial impact because they have cash reserves earmarked for emergencies. The money is used to replace damaged equipment and secure temporary headquarters if the regular location is uninhabitable.

With a disaster plan in place, your new business will be prepared for whatever comes. Generators and backup servers are worthwhile investments for these situations. Planning how operations will continue in the event of a disaster results in little or no downtime. While the competition is trying to gather itself together, your business will be proceeding as usual.

Think about whether now is the time for you to become an entrepreneur and if so, get started. There is no time like the present and there are plenty of opportunities, whatever you want to do. Find a mentor and start networking now to make the business successful in the future. You will cross one thing off your resolution list!
