Paying Off Debt Without Increasing Income

Many people face challenges when it comes to money and the majority of them believe that increasing income would solve their problems. They think that a raise at work will make their lives easier financially. Some even believe that making more money will eliminate their financial woes. This is a dangerous mindset because we do not need to make more money to repay our debts. We need to change our lifestyles to accommodate what we currently earn and in the process, repay what we owe.

Most of us earn more than we did upon entering the workforce. Most of us are also in more debt than we were then. This reveals that making more money is not the answer to our problems. In fact, it is detrimental for people who have trouble managing their finances to earn more money. People who spend every penny they currently earn will probably spend what they earn if they make more money. Their lifestyles grow with their incomes simply because they have the money.

Spending habits, not lack of income, are the problem. Money is designed to grow, not represent something to be spent each month. Most people live from one paycheck to the next, never saving any money to grow something larger. By tracking their spending, people see where their income is being spent. This helps them identify unnecessary expenses that can be eliminated to free up money to repay debts and save for the future.

Focusing on growth enables us to be faithful with what we earn. A few simple and painless lifestyle adjustments may enable us to live within our means with money left over to grow. For example, is it really necessary to dine out several nights a week when we can prepare delicious, healthier meals at home for a fraction of the cost? Is purchasing designer clothing at full-price wise when some stores sell the same brands at a discount?

Many Americans are deep in debt, living from paycheck to paycheck and thinking that more money is the answer to their problems. However, some have managed to free themselves from this cycle and mindset to improve their situations. They learn how to live on what they earn. Even better, they make lifestyle changes that enable them to repay debts accumulated over the years.

Freeing up money is the first step. Making it grow is where this adjusted mindset literally pays off. Many people take this opportunity to change their careers for good, establishing a legitimate home business that provides income and inner satisfaction. As they improve their lives, others take notice and may want to know the secret.

There really is no secret because this approach is based on common sense. Money will not fall from trees and even when people begin earning more money, most of them will squander it. A change in financial mindset is necessary to stop living from hand to mouth and begin growing money for the future. Change your future by changing your perspective.

Preparing Yourself for a New Career Opportunity, Dani Johnson Style

Are you unhappy with your current career situation? Perhaps your job is not challenging, the boss is unpleasant, or the paycheck is not very impressive. Maybe this employment does not offer the desired career path. Whatever the case, there is some reason for dissatisfaction. Even a new job that seems like it will be amazing can leave you disgruntled after a short time. Changing jobs may seem like the answer but it will most likely result in the same disappointment. The perfect opportunity is not likely to present itself, saving the day.

The lesson to be learned is that we must position ourselves for opportunities. Life improvement entrepreneur Dani Johnson knows this all too well and she recently discussed this topic via a posting on her website. She provided an excellent example: would Prince Charming have gone looking for Cinderella if she had not attended the ball? Chances are good that the prince would not have known that Cinderella existed.

What is the takeaway from this? Anyone who is wondering why opportunity has not come knocking, why promotions have not been offered, and why paychecks seem much too small needs to begin improving his or her skills. Positioning oneself for new career opportunities involves several steps beginning with getting rid of the negative attitude. This outlook becomes evident everywhere including at work, where it can affect promotions and pay. New contacts may be turned away by all the trash-talking about the job, boss, and company.

Look around and see who is being promoted at work. Find out what these people are doing differently. Identify your own habits and determine whether these are helpful or harmful to career advancement. Negativity may not be the only bad habit. Regular lateness to work, unprofessionalism, sarcasm, and antisocial behavior are habits that top the naughty list with employers. Mirror the actions of people who are advancing in the workplace not those whose careers have stagnated.

Be appreciative of what the current job offers and look for resources and skills that build upon this. Take a class to make yourself more valuable to an employer. Identify a skill that the rest of the workforce lacks and master it. Fill a void in the workplace that helps improve daily operations. As Dani says, “Prosper where you are planted.” This behavior will increase growth and promotional opportunities.

Every day, Dani provides the public with ways to improve their skills. She literally hands over the skill sets required to create six figure income. The problem is that many of us have not stepped up. Some people have heard but not really listened to her messages. Others have listened but not applied her teachings.

However, there are also those who have seized the opportunities presented. They have used these to change their lives. Dani is waiting for the rest of us to be ready to join her growing community of successful individuals. We have the resources required to prepare ourselves for new career opportunities…all we need to do is take action.

Dani Johnson Receives The Ultimate Media Coverage…Forbes!

If you are wondering what Secret Millionaire star Dani Johnson has been up to lately, look no further than the February 13 installment of the segment Crossing Borders in Forbes online. It features a full-page article by contributing editor Maseena Ziegler describing how Dani went from homeless to being a millionaire in less than two years. Anyone who wants to know what it takes to turn a life around and achieve unimagined success can find out by reading this article.

Crossing Borders is dedicated to women who have navigated social, geographical, and professional borders. The article about Dani has already received nearly 165,000 views and has been shared via multiple social media channels. Ms. Ziegler describes how Dani went from living out of her car with almost no money and nearly $40,000 in debt to becoming a multi-millionaire who runs five companies and travels around the world giving back to others.

People who have read articles about Dani before are aware that her childhood was characterized by nearly every form of abuse. Dani herself began to abuse drugs, which led her to decide to take her own life. At that instant, she heard a voice telling her, “Pick up your mat and walk,” which she did despite realizing that should would be homeless for at least four months before she had enough money to pay for an apartment.

The very next day, things began to fall into place. Dani began selling a weight loss program from her car and with help from a pay phone and self-created flyer, she earned $4,000 during her first month. After a year in business, she had made a quarter of a million dollars and by year two, she was a millionaire. Dani went on to open 18 weight loss centers across the U.S. and in 1996, she sold the business and became a multimillionaire.

Despite an upbringing that seemed to make failure inevitable and a doubting internal voice that had plagued her for years, Dani managed to succeed. She realized that nothing…neither her drug-addicted, abusive parents nor the mistakes she had made in the past…mattered. She alone was responsible for her life and the direction it took. Dani decided that she would accept nothing less than becoming successful and she never looked back, despite additional setbacks along the road to her current status.

What can we learn from Dani’s story? That no matter how troubled our lives were or are, there is always the opportunity to turn things around and we alone are responsible for doing this. If corporate life is unsuitable, there are plenty of work from home opportunities available. When times are difficult, diligence and creativity can open doors.

Dani is a syndicated radio show host, international speaker, best-selling author, and successful entrepreneur. Most of us would be thrilled to achieve just one of those goals. We should follow in the footsteps of someone who has achieved what we are setting out to do. Who better to follow than a woman who Forbes considers worthy of interviewing?

Break Out Of The Financial Chains For Good

Most of us struggle to pay bills at one point in our lives. Many of us are currently in uncomfortable financial situations. However, a lot of us would rather struggle to repay a large credit card balance than forego the purchases that get us into this situation. A recent article in The Wall Street Journal made this shocking revelation and noted feelings of embarrassment or shame as reasons that people succumb to overspending.

Are we really such a shallow society? Does our fear of what others will think cause us to spend money on items we cannot afford? If we prefer instant gratification at the cost of long-term debt to making wise financial decisions then we really are an egocentric society. While the pressure to spend money exists, it quickly leads to debt, which causes anxiety, stress, and financial problems. We must break this endless cycle.

From a young age, we are bombarded with the message that having the most “stuff” will make us happy. This illusion causes us to accumulate more things and try to keep up with what others have. Far from leading to true happiness, these actions sink us into financial bondage. However, we can break free by following the example set by a minority of Americans. These folks manage to succeed financially despite the pressure to spend more than they have accumulated.

According to one expert, 98 percent of the population is dead or broke by age 65. That leaves just two percent of Americans alive and doing well financially at this age. Financial independence creates a bright future and results from ignoring what society considers normal and acceptable. It requires the creation of generational wealth, something that provides benefits long after we are gone. We were not designed to sink into debt; we were designed for success and wealth. The decisions we make about what is important to us determine the outcome.

Think about it…is buying an expensive new television or sports car more important than becoming free of debt? Is passing debt down through the generations the right way to establish a legacy? Most children would rather receive financial wisdom in the present and the gift of wealth in the future. This is the type of legacy that we should be leaving to our children and theirs.

Ignoring the pressure to spend is not easy. It takes hard work and determination to avoid being trapped by debt. Some people have the hard work part down and are even earning more money. However, they have not developed the willpower to avoid the debt trap. Once they change their mindsets to one of total wealth, that willpower will follow.

There are several ways to break free from financial chains. Many people have found success with a Dani Johnson training program designed to tackle debt while creating generational wealth. Read their testimonials on the Dani Johnson website and if their stories sound like yours, explore the available training programs because one of them may change your life.
