So, you have already seen Scott and Alexa Jacobs volunteer
in Newark, NJ, and donate $150,000 to people in need. Last night, you saw Chuck
Runyon and Dave Mortensen volunteer their time and donate money to worthy
Oklahoma City causes. Who will be the next millionaire to appear on the ABC
runaway hit show Secret Millionaire?
Drumroll, please! It will be none other than Steve Kaplan, whose episode will
air on July 1.
Steve Kaplan is an author and self-made multimillionaire. He
will not be traveling far to volunteer his time while undercover, but it will
seem like a different world. Kaplan will take the El from his luxurious Chicago
area home to spend time on the south side of town, an area characterized by
poverty, gang violence, and a general feeling of despair. For one week, Kaplan
will live in this environment, surviving on the equivalent of welfare
assistance, while his family continues the posh lifestyle to which they are
accustomed.
As part of Kaplan’s volunteer efforts, he will spend time in
an after school program designed to provide a safe environment for children and
a residential community for low income senior citizens. He will also work for a
charity that collects basic goods to donate to those less fortunate. Those he
interacts with will have no idea that Kaplan is actually very wealthy and is looking
for people and causes that deserve a portion of his massive fortune.
So, who is Steve Kaplan, anyway? Well, in addition to being
a self-made millionaire, he has allowed more than a hundred other people to
achieve the same lifestyle. He is known worldwide as an achievement and success
expert. His unique approach to achieving success has empowered tens of
thousands of people to reach for the stars. Through speaking engagements,
books, and consulting sessions, Kaplan provides individuals and small
businesses with proven tools, techniques, and tactics for realizing their potential.
Kaplan created one of the largest marketing firms in the
country and built an organization with 29 international offices and 1,300
employees. He currently owns multiple businesses including Steve Kaplan Live.
He has also served on the EURORSCG Executive Committee, the group responsible
for strategic development of an advertising agency conglomerate comprised of
176 companies. He even toured universities throughout the country, preparing
students for success.
This multimillionaire is not all business. He has written
two books that became New York Times,
Business Week, USA TODAY, and The Wall
Street Journal bestsellers. Kaplan even served as producer for the Broadway
musical Leap of Faith, which received
a Tony nomination for Best Musical. Oh, and in his spare time, he climbed Mount
Kilimanjaro and ran with the bulls in Pamplona!
Kaplan continues to travel the world, providing inspiration
for achievement and success. He views life as an adventure and one of his
latest was appearing on Secret
Millionaire. His passion for life is infectious and his determination is
fierce. Kaplan hopes these traits rub off on everyone he encounters including
the amazing people he met on the south side of Chicago.
