Breaking The Chains

Few of us can truly say we were never held back from something. The more difficult thing to admit is that what was restraining us was ourselves. For some people, fear of success is just as binding as fear of failure. Many of us make excuses regarding lack of time, money, or knowledge. These reasons will always exist—it is us that must change.

We need to decide whether we want to break those imaginary chains and reach our full potential or settle for mediocrity. Whether financial independence, increased income, helping others, or getting more joy from life is the goal, we have to decide how badly we want to achieve it. Each day offers an opportunity for us to accept the excuses we make or push them aside and begin working toward our goal.

Doing whatever it takes to be successful is not always easy. Whether we want to leave the corporate world to start a business from home, eliminate debt, create six figure income, or improve personal relationships, there are bound to be bumps in the road. Networking with others who have done what we aspire to do is both supportive and inspiring.

Many people have found ways to rid themselves of financial burdens, increase their earnings, and fill their social circle with like-minded individuals. They have faced adversity, some dealing with situations much more dire than our own. Listening to their stories and learning from their successes and failures make our quest for success much easier.

Determining what got us into our present situation involves taking a long, hard look in the mirror. In many cases, we are to blame. Rather than punishing ourselves for this, we should learn from it. Ignoring the reasons we created to justify our failures and focusing on successes to be achieved enables us to overcome any obstacle.
