Dani Johnson Posts First Spiritual Equipping Message Of 2013

Secret Millionaire Dani Johnson is no stranger to fresh starts. Not that long ago, she was broke, homeless, and looking for a new beginning. At one point in our lives, most of us wish for a clean slate. Many people view the new year as an opportunity to start fresh and through her Spiritual Equipping broadcasts, Dani provides a plan to follow. She recently posted her first 2013 Spiritual Equipping message on her website.

Dani spends much time coming up with the messages for her broadcasts and many of these begin as small thoughts or ideas. This one was no different but over the next week, it began to build, overpowering a different message that she was initially preparing. It began as the word “fresh” and after Dani researched the occurrences of this word in the Bible, she knew she was onto something.

Mark 2:21-22 was the first passage that resonated with Dani. It carries the age-old message of “out with the old and in with the new” but adds a warning. It says that a new patch cannot be expected to work if it is put on an old garment. Shrunken cloth should be used to mend old garments or greater tears will result. Dani interpreted this message to mean that God is bringing something new to our lives in 2013 and to embrace it, we must discard our old mindsets, habits, and ways.

The old is worn out and merely serves as baggage that prevents us from carrying the new into the future. By discarding it, we have room to embrace new mindsets and ways. This message corresponds well with the next passage Dani discovered, 2 Corinthians 5:17. It says that people who are in Christ are new creatures. This is an immediate result of believing and confessing that Jesus died on the Cross, rose, ascended, and now sits at the right hand of God.

This passage also states that old things have passed away, which Dani interprets to mean past resentments, bitterness, pain, doubts, fears, and even mistakes. For those who are in Christ, these things are gone and new things have come. These are already here and we simply need to recognize and embrace them.

These two Bible passages are perhaps the most important things to keep in mind during this new year. We cannot start the year with our old ways of thinking because this will hold us back. This is a chance for a fresh start, a new way to think about money, work, loved ones, and ourselves. Now is the time to embrace the new beginning and continue this momentum throughout the year.

Dani plans to follow this soon with the remainder of her message for the new year. She hopes it will help us see what God has in store for us this year. Readers who take this message and run with it should position themselves for great success in 2013. Dani encourages each of us to share her message with others because someone is bound to find hope and inspiration in it.
